About This Project
stfn.ro is a personal blog and portfolio dressed up as a terminal from the film GATTACA. It is a mini blog for the unreliable narrator: raw, honest writing inside a machine that takes itself seriously enough to feel real and not seriously enough to forget the joke.
The October 2026 redesign puts the whole site inside GEN-7, a beige CRT monitor drawn in 3D with three.js. On a big screen the site boots on the monitor's glass, with a power-on flicker, a curved tube, glass reflections, film grain and a keyboard on the desk. The buttons under the screen work: HOME and ARCHIVE navigate, RESET reboots the terminal, and the little displays show the time and a running DNA sequence. Phones and tablets get the same terminal as a CRT site, without the monitor.
