This Privacy Policy explains how tasta.space and its associated products ("Space Dust" apps, browser extensions, web tools) collect, use, and protect your information. We believe in minimal data collection and full transparency.
Space Dust Apps
Space Dust Cleaner (macOS)
Space Dust Cleaner collects a machine UUID (a unique identifier for your device) solely for the purpose of license validation. This ensures your license is tied to your machine and prevents unauthorized use. No personal data, usage analytics, or browsing history is collected.
Space Dust Scanner (macOS)
Space Dust Scanner does not collect any personal data. The app runs entirely on your device with no network calls for analytics or tracking.
Cleaning Paths API
The Cleaning Paths API serves static JSON data used by Space Dust Cleaner to identify safe cleaning targets. This endpoint does not collect, store, or process any personal data. No cookies, no IP logging, no tracking.
tasta.space Website
The tasta.space website stores data you voluntarily provide (account registration, contact form submissions, feedback posts, comments, and votes) in a database hosted on Hetzner servers located in the European Union (Germany).
We do not use any third-party analytics services, tracking pixels, or advertising SDKs. No data is shared with or sold to third parties.
Cookies
tasta.space uses essential cookies only:
- Session cookie for authentication
- Locale preference cookie to remember your language selection
- CSRF token cookie for form security
No tracking cookies or third-party cookies are used.
Data Storage and Security
All data is stored on Hetzner Cloud servers in Falkenstein, Germany (EU). Access is restricted to the site administrator. Standard security practices are in place, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure password hashing, and regular server updates.
Your Rights Under GDPR
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access - Request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Rectification - Request correction of inaccurate data
- Erasure - Request deletion of your data
- Portability - Request your data in a machine-readable format
- Objection - Object to processing of your data

Data Retention
License validation data (machine UUID) is retained while your license is active and deleted upon request. Account data and user-generated content (feedback, comments, votes) are retained while your account exists. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.
Children
Our services are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
