pnză

pnză was a small Romanian brand of made-to-order embroidered t-shirts with something to say: subtle, funny or a little cheeky. I designed and built its whole shop as a custom WordPress and WooCommerce theme, replacing a page builder with hand-written templates.

The shop has closed and the site is no longer online, so these screenshots keep the theme on show.

Design

Dark, warm and handmade. Product photos sit in polaroid frames, a different light leak glows behind every kind of page and drifts with the mouse, and hand-drawn doodles, handwritten headings and a scrolling marquee give it the feel of a scrapbook.

What I built

• A custom theme with its own homepage blocks (hero slider, quality cards, products, brand story, marquee and newsletter), all editable in the block editor
• Product pages with a polaroid gallery, a size picker and add to cart without reloading the page
• Stock shared per size for a made-to-order model: when a size sells, every design updates
• Parcel locker delivery at checkout, with the locker picker opening on its own
• A cookie banner with real choices, and analytics that only load after consent
• Branded social cards for every product and page, generated in a headless browser
• A brand toolkit plugin with the colours, fonts, logo, doodles and an icon library
• Self-hosted fonts, an accessible mobile menu and mini cart
